VA-AG: Sen. Tim Kaine (D) Fundraises For Mark Herring's (D) Recount Efforts

Received this e-mail today from Senator Tim Kaine (D. VA) in support of Attorney General candidate Mark Herring's (D. VA) recount effort against Cuccinelli protege Mark Obenshain (R. VA):

Tuesday night Virginians rejected extreme ideology and chose leaders who will seek common ground when we elected Terry McAuliffe and Ralph Northam as our next Governor and Lt. Governor.

But the critically important Attorney General’s race is still too close to call – and I'm asking for your help to make sure that all of the 2.2 million ballots cast are actually counted.

Right now, just a few hundred votes separate Democratic candidate Mark Herring from his Republican opponent, and what happens in the next few days will likely decide who becomes our next Attorney General.

Virginia’s Attorney General has enormous power – to either faithfully execute the law or pursue a rigid ideological agenda.  We need to ensure that the people’s will is honored, and every vote is counted.
